The King of the court

Well unless you have lived on the island from Lost with Hurley, you have undoubtedly heard of this man..Lebron James... He is arguably the best basketball player of all time and most count him as the best currently playing. (if you don't believe me read the article on ESPN today) Look at the Cavs, for 7 seasons he elevated a franchise and put them on the map, similar to Justin Timberlake of N'SYNC. I don't care if you agree with how he left but the Cavs have fallen from one of the best teams in the NBA to one of the historic worst! (currently 10-46)

Mr. James is a family man marrying his high school sweetheart and later having two children. A business man, with lucrative endorsements with Nike, Upper Deck, Micky D's, and State Farm. Heck hes even been on Vougue Magazine, only 2 other men have ever done that ( Richard Gere and George Clooney, if you were running to google that).

I'm sure will find out in 6 months that he has a million mistresses hes texting and is holding illegal gerbil fight matches at his house in Atlanta, but for now...

Its so good it almost makes me want to run, then I return to reality

Super Mega Worm

I'm not a huge gamer beyond an occasional Words with Friends game and some Angry Birds, but that might all change, this game is defiantly worth a look. It has a great interface and is a lot of fun, and as well its FREE for a limited time...

remember the early bird doesn't always get the worm

White Noise

I don't have sleeping problems by any means but wouldn't you want falling asleep to be a little more fun? If that's a yes then check this one out, there is a free and paid version of the app both work great! you can mix sounds set sleep timers and if you have an ihome then it works exceptionally well!

I don't know about the rest of you but I have grown increasingly more tired of this nut ball named Lady Gaga..

If I were to poll Americans, I think they would vote to remove a few "Celebrities" from the realm of pop culture. The Winners among the Losers would be as follows..Sarah Palin, Lady Gaga, and that nut ball with the kids of TLC, and Crazy Kanye...

I don't really care where we send them as long as there is no cameras, TMZ, or for Crazy Kanye's sake, Twitter... Maybe we could just turn Idaho or Wyoming into a holding state, "Where celebrities go to die" that could even be on the state flag for all I care!

RIP Guitar Hero

I don't know if all of you have heard but today Activision announced that they plan to kick the guitar hero franchise to the curb.

This may sadden some of you out there, to me personally I was more concerned about the price gouging that was going on where I had my car washed today..

But...this game has had a major cultural impact, (not on me I hate it and am horrible at it), there have been 25 different version of the game to date as well as it being the first game franchise to gross $1 billion dollars for Activision.

(25 versions of Metallica and Van Halen? and they wonder why it failed, should have made a phone call to my man Lil Wayne)

The games ultimate demise is due in large part to over saturation, part of the reason why, to this day I still don't eat Strawberry Cupcakes...There is such as thing as "To much of a good thing"

So America says goodbye to you guitar hero, see you again one day on Vh1's "I Love the 2000's" while Flava Flav and Vanilla Ice talk about how great you are...

Snow in the South

Well I'm not sure if my readers, maybe now 5, know this but out here in Abilene we have been living like a group of Jamaicans in Colorado..trapped and confused..

Among my much appreciated time off I found time to sled behind a hummer, play some ping pong, watch a few movies, and have a million laughs..(that sounds like a line out of a sappy chick flick)

These are the times you don't get to have when you hit the real world and you have to begin to be responsible and do adult things like taxes and mortgage payments...

I have 4 months till that, so might as well live it up. Thanks HSU for the snow days, I am very grateful!

The weekend has arrived officially, this is now the second one of the school year, only 14 more to go! yikes...

This post today is in honor of my lunch/snack (i get to have chickfila for dinner so I'm saving up stomach space). At my local convince store today (o thank heaven!) I picked up a bag of Flamein Hot Cheetos, they are very tasted and spicy, two things all snacks should have! But as I was half way through my bag I got to thinkin, "How are these made?", so I got to reading..


Cheetos really don't have that much cheese in them (Scary I know), they are a blend of corn and water and then heated up and the hot air is what cause the "Puffyness". Another great thing about those little puffs is the mascot that represents them, Chester Cheetah. This guy is the Justin Bebier in the Snack food word. This guy has two video games and has done the marketing for this branch of Frito Lay for Decades, how many video games have you had Miley?

Cheetos were created in 1948.

Running is not my new Pal

Well today was the day, the day that i have been avoiding for 4 years..

I had to run the mile and a half for wellness! The one positive for today that came from this horrid 14 mins was it reassured me of my future career choice...for a second there i was struggling with the idea of should I be an Real Estate and Investing Guru (you like that?) or should I go the Olympic gold medalist route... Needless to say I think I got my answer, when mid way thru I felt like my heart might explode...

Money it is for Me.

GQ is the 10 Commandments for Men

Ok, maybe equating a men's fashion magazine and one of the most important list know to man kind is a bit extreme but I feel like it does get the point across. That being, GQ should be read and the principles with in it should be followed by every man in America.

Each month the editors churn out an issue packed with practical things for Americas men. Things like how to shop for a good dress shirt, or the best cologne for the fall. This is done in a tasetful way, and I feel as though GQ might be the last mens magazine to do this in a tasteful way. (unlike that glorified fire starter Playboy or Maxim) You might be saying to yourself, so, I don't need "Help being a Man" (yes you do I guarentee, I have walked the streets of Abilene)...well I would argue you are wrong, unless you aspire to be in a Biker Gang there will be many occasion you will need the little bits of gold has to offer throughout your life.

the last first

Well today and yesterday were kind of a big deal, not a big deal in the way a birthday or marriage is but it was the LAST first day of school I will potentially ever have. Scary right..

One thing that is veryyyy veryyyy annoying is having to take classes that 1. don't interest you (who the heck cares about Geology (sorry dad)) and 2. wont really be needed in the world beyond the wall of the University. One of those classes is Wellness for Life. STUPID, its a glorified health class. At this age I don't feel like a class is going to change are health habits for the good or the bad. If your going to hit up Wendy's and order the whole dollar menu for your self (minor goal of mine) then your going to do it! If you want to drink and smoke your self in to a ditch somewhere and not shower for days you have probably already started that process, is a professor who couldn't teach a real course at a college level really going to convince you other wise? (i sure hope not for Americas sake!)

but...like in life there are many thing you must do that you really don't like or feel like doing, I.E. Taxes, Laundry, Send Flowers to your Wife, Hang Out with your extended Family... you get the picture..

So here's to you wonderful Wellness class! I'm going to have pizza for dinner and eat all of it, and not exercise afterwards!

Getting Back on the Horse...

I have strayed away from my blogging roots and have simply been reading them and not writing...

Alert the media I am back, what better of a day than on Chickfila Tuesday. School startes in less than 168 hours and it will be the last semester of fun. ever. so I better live it up! The break has been fantastic to this point so i really cant complain, other than losing a bet or two...


I leave you today to work on one of my semester long goals, READING, so im off to read a mildy interesting book, but hey im only on page 10...
