I don't know if all of you have heard but today Activision announced that they plan to kick the guitar hero franchise to the curb.
This may sadden some of you out there, to me personally I was more concerned about the price gouging that was going on where I had my car washed today..
But...this game has had a major cultural impact, (not on me I hate it and am horrible at it), there have been 25 different version of the game to date as well as it being the first game franchise to gross $1 billion dollars for Activision.
(25 versions of Metallica and Van Halen? and they wonder why it failed, should have made a phone call to my man Lil Wayne)
The games ultimate demise is due in large part to over saturation, part of the reason why, to this day I still don't eat Strawberry Cupcakes...There is such as thing as "To much of a good thing"
So America says goodbye to you guitar hero, see you again one day on Vh1's "I Love the 2000's" while Flava Flav and Vanilla Ice talk about how great you are...
